Upper West Hillside Hybrid

Maintaining a linear and efficient footprint was a key design feature of this two-story hillside residence with magnificent mountain views on the upper west side of Santa Barbara. A hybrid fusion of contemporary and traditional Spanish vernacular similar to the bold work of Ricardo Legoretta and Luis Barragan, the exterior combines simple, bold cubistic forms with traditional materials and detailing.
